Thank you for visiting our new Internet site. As an up-to-date business, we want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with our company and our offers. A new content management system will enable us to always keep you up to date.

A little background about our Company. I am a Licensed Electrician in the cities of West Plains and Thayer, MO. I have been in the Electrical field since the summer of 1996 and opened Peoples Electric in October of 2005. I worked for White Electrical Service for 9 years and was a job Foreman for 6 1/2 years. During this time I received experience in commercial, industrial and residential construction and service work. I also received experience in control circuitry, alarm systems, CCTV, generators and multi-family dwellings.

During my time with White Electrical Service, I had worked on 2 Office Depot stores and then 3 Office Depot stores as the Foreman. I worked on numerous prisons in the state of Missouri installing lethal fence systems around the prisons, for the State. I was the 2nd foreman in charge on the new Surgery Addition at Ozarks Medical Center, which included 2 new 75KW generators and an entire new electrical service room to take over other service rooms in the hospital. I spent approximately 4 months in Minnesota, working for the State Prison system there, installing a new CCTV system and new security doors, throughout the prison. The last construction job that I did for White's was in Wisconsin at the Army and Air National Guard Headquarters, installing a new security gate system, with security card access to the gates and building.

I am also a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserves, working as an Electrical Instructor, teaching soldiers how to become Interior Electricians for the United States Army, Army Reserve, and States National Guards. I have been doing this since 2003 and started instructing in 2006. We teach generator operations, electrical safety, installation of electrical components and systems, along with trouble shooting electrical problems and electrical codes, from the newest edition of the National Electric Code.

Since opening Peoples Electric I have worked with many contractors in the area, wiring new houses, remodel wiring and installing new generators and transfer switches. I have also done work in the past and currently for Ozark Action Inc., wiring new smoke detectors and installing exhaust fans in homes for them. We have also rewired a campsite at Cloud 9 Ranch, in Caufield, MO, to be able to accept the newer model camper trailers, that require the use of a 50A and 30A plug, at the same time.

We are also an authorized Generac® Power Systems Inc. dealer and installer.

We are glad to welcome back Jacob Brixey! Jacob was a great asset 5 years ago when he was keeping the crew running when I was not available and a very quick learning student of the electrical field and how to properly wire houses and commercial buildings. We are very pleased to get him back with us and look forward in teaching him even more about the electrical trade. You can contact him through his email address listed in the contacts section of our web page.
